A group of eight volunteers were recently invited to visit the ‘Doncaster 1914 -18 at Home at War’ heritage project which is very similar project to ours, albeit on a much larger scale.  A great day was had by all and I think we all gained a lot from the visit in terms of information, new ideas and making new friends! The volunteers also had the opportunity to visit ‘The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Museum’ (K.O.Y.L.I) which is well worth a visit and has an impressive medal collection.  Three soldiers from the K.O.Y.L.I Regiment signed the WUTAC visitor’s books so we were able to share our research with our Doncaster colleagues.
